Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Rossiter?
Rossiter is deep tissue myofascial (mean muscle and fascia) release. It is a type of active assisted stretch where the target tissue is pinned and the person being worked on does specific movements to allow the fascia to stretch and then release tension. This technique is extremely effective relieving pain and tension in everyone from athletes and weekend warriors to new parents learning to navigate life to those just trying to keep moving, and everyone in between.

What does Rossiter help with?
Wear comfortable athletic style clothes that you can easily move around in. If you forget, then it will be okay. But it will be easier for both you and me if you remember.
Drink lots of water! I recommend drinking about half of your body in oz. (For example, if you weigh 180 lbs, try to drink about 90 oz of water per day). Plan to workout before your session and not after.
Rossiter is meant to be uncomfortable versus painful, intensity is a more accurate description. I tell my clients that intensity should be about a 5 or 6 on a scale of 1-10. You should be able to keep your body relaxed while the stretch is occurring. I check in often, especially in the first few sessions, to make sure that it feels good for you. Most people say it hurts so good!
It depends. Most people notice significant improvement after their first session for a few days. After 3 or 4 sessions, ideally in the first 10-14 days, change will start to last for longer. Many clients come regularly after the first few sessions, every 1,2 or 4 weeks, as we work together to create lasting changes.
Rossiter is effective for almost any pain you are experiencing. I have personally helped clients with neck, shoulder, upper back, lower back, hip, knee, ankle, and foot pain.
